Long on style and short on logic, this Italian horror treat blends the cosmic horror stylings of HP Lovecraft with the mythos building of Dario Argento’s Three Mothers trilogy.
With inspired direction, unforgettable performances from David Warbeck and Catriona MacColl, and amazing special effects from Gino de Rossi and Germano Natali, The Beyond stands as the pinnacle of Fulci’s cinematic output — and one of the great Italian horror films.
