Dario Argento’s 1982 giallo Tenebre stands as one of the director’s greatest — and goriest — films. Join me as we break it down in today’s edition of Sick Flicks!
Anthony Franciosa is Peter Neal — a novelist who finds himself embroiled in a real life murder mystery when he heads to Rome to promote his latest book. Next thing you know, a black-gloved killer is knocking off everyone around the author based on his work. The list of suspects and potential victims is long — and includes legendary character actor John Saxon and Argento’s real life wife Daria Nicolodi.
You’ll be guessing until the very end as this twisty thriller reveals all its secrets — the story is great, the Goblin soundtrack is legendary, and the splatter effects are divine. This is Argento at the top of his game.
How many barf bags will Tenebre score on the Gore Card? Watch and find out!
